Christmas in Grays – A 2012 High Point

Christmas Service at Grace Baptist Church, Grays

The Christmas Service at Grace Baptist church, Grays was a real high point in 2012. Bruce Massop, church planter in Grays, reports.

We probably had our largest congregation with a number coming from the locality. There were two special encouragements for the church planters.  One lady – who had previously  attended but had not come for over a year – returned for the Christmas service. After the service we were able to welcome and encourage her in matters relating to salvation. The other encouragement was a Polish man who we had met whilst door-to-door visitations. We had called at his home previously and made contact with others tenants who shared the house. When we returned to give them an invite to the service they were not in but the Polish gentleman was present and he took the invitation, albeit in a most apprehensive manner. It was a delight to see him at our church and we plan to follow up the visit.

Grace Baptist Church, Grays is planning a special New Year service on Sunday January 6th and look forward to what the Lord will do in Grays in 2013. All are welcome to join us.
