Grace Extends in Edlesborough

Grace Extends in Edlesborough

Do you think of church life in villages as being somewhat static? Here is an account of how grace is extending in this village on the Bedfordshire / Buckinghamshire border.

2019 has been – and promises to be! – an eventful year in the life of the church at Edlesborough.

During January – March, Alister King (pastoral trainee) at the church has been on placement at Christ Church in Dunstable. This has proven to be an invaluable experience for Alister which will serve him and the church at Edlesborough well going forward.

In late March, the church plant from Edlesborough at Leagrave will constitute as an autonomous church. What an encouragement this will be to all concerned.

In May, one of the deacons and his wife will celebrate 50 years of marriage and in September the pastoral trainee and his fiancé will be married.

Last but not least, in October Alister King will take up the pastorate of the church from Timothy Reynolds who is retiring.

Please pray for the church – leaders and members alike – that in all these changes they will see the hand of God upon them and will see the progress of the gospel in their village.

“For it is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.” 2 Corinthians 4:15
