Grace Extends in Halstead
Sometimes after a long season of plodding, the Lord is pleased to move things forward a bit more quickly. Here is a report of how grace is extending in Halstead.
The work at Halstead – particularly since Graham and Tracy Field moved there with their daughter Josie – has experienced slow but steady progress. In recent months, though, the pace has quickened.
A teenager has been baptised. A young couple have committed to the work. These – and others – have covenanted together to serve the Lord and one another in Halstead.
The young couple display a spiritual maturity beyond their years and have been a real source of encouragement to the Fields as well as the rest of the fellowship. Could this man be the fellow leader Graham has prayed for so often?
Work with teenagers – as well as small group and one to one Bible studies – continues, as do midweek meetings when as many as 75% of those attending on a Sunday are present again.
Please pray that the work in Halstead will continue to grow spiritually and numerically. Please pray that the Lord will raise up leaders among them to assist in various aspects of the work.
Thank the Lord for the encouragements he has given his people in the work.
“For it is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.” 2 Corinthians 4:15
