Grace Extends in Wiltshire
Mark Hope’s schedule varies from week to week but his aim remains the same. Here is an account of grace extending in Wiltshire.
Mark Hope, an evangelist supported by Grace Baptist Partnership, is often on the move. But whether he is in Bradford on Avon or in Grittleton, Lea, Malmesbury, Upavon, or Yatton Keynell, his work is the same – sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and seeking to build up the churches.
Though Mark is busy, the work can be slow and progress a bit difficult to measure. There are encouragements – two baptised at Yatton Keynell and one at Lea last year! – but the challenge of proclaiming good news to those who have little – if any – desire to hear it remains.
Once the cause of the gospel thrived in Wiltshire. There were well-attended chapels in most towns and villages. Those days are gone. But dare we pray that God will do something once more in this county of natural beauty and material affluence but great spiritual need?
Please ask the Lord to sustain Mark in his efforts to serve the Lord in Wiltshire. Please ask the Lord to continue to meet his financial, physical and spiritual needs. Please ask the Lord to give him fruit for his labour and joy in his service.
“For it is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.” 2 Corinthians 4:15
