Grace Extends in Wood Green

Grace Extends in Wood Green

For almost 15 years the church in Wood Green, London has selflessly given itself to a ministry of evangelism and church planting. Here is an account of how grace is extending in – and from – Wood Green.

Evangelism and church planting are a part of the congregational DNA of the church at Wood Green. They do door to door work. They engage in open air witness. They have regular book tables on the High Street. They hold special evangelistic meetings. They host teams who come to assist in the work. These are not things they do. This is simply who they are.

They continue to reach into Sky City estate. After years of faithful witness, they have now seen two conversions. One of these persons is expected to be baptised on Easter Sunday.

Easter Sunday will be a full day for the church – though if I’m honest not much fuller than usual! – as they have their first service at Bounds Green Church that afternoon.

The pastor – Ryan King – is also released a couple of days a week for wider ministry through Grace Baptists in Europe. This work has led him to be involved in various initiatives in Albania, Austria, Ireland, Poland, Sweden, and Ukraine.

Would you pause for a moment and thank the Lord for this faithful church and her pastor? Would you ask the Lord to continue to strengthen and help them in their work? Would you ask the Lord to raise up other churches like them who will carry the gospel to the nations?

“For it is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.” 2 Corinthians 4:15
