Partnership Update – February 2014
Dear Partners in the Gospel
With a number of special events planned for March in the churches and church plants with which we enjoy fellowship, this update will be given over to informing you about some of these meetings and encouraging your prayers and when possible your presence.
Angel
The friends at Angel will host Michael Nazir-Ali at a special meeting on Tuesday, 11th of March beginning at 7:30pm. He will address the theme, How to be a Christian in a Hostile World. A flyer is attached. There will be a special thanksgiving service for the recent marriage of Regan and Sydney King on Saturday, 15th of March beginning at 3:00pm. After the service we will enjoy a bring and share meal together.
Brighton
The friends at Brighton will host the Sussex Conference for young people on Saturday, 8th of March beginning at 10:30am. Andrew King will speak. A poster with full details is attached.
Edlesborough
The friends at Edlesborough will host John Benton at a special meeting on Thursday, 13th of March beginning at 7:30pm. He will address the theme, Why Join a Small Church? Everyone in attendance will receive a complementary copy of the Christian Focus publication by the same title. A copy of the book cover is attached. There will be a special meeting on Saturday, 29th of March beginning at 3:00pm to mark the formal constitution of
the church. David Chapman will chair and Alan Harvey will preach. Refreshments will follow.
St Johns Wood
The friends who normally meet at Wood Green on the first Monday evening of each month for a special prayer meeting for revival, are encouraged to join the Association of Grace Baptist Churches (South East) Concert of Prayer on Monday, 3rd of March from 7:00 – 9:00pm at St Johns Wood Road Baptist Church.
A notice of a different kind
Please read the attached poster regarding a proposed skydive by Robert and Jackie Read to benefit the Oncology Unit at Addenbrooke’s Hospital.
