Day of Joint Worship and Witness

Day of Joint Worship and Witness

Dear Partner in the Gospel

I greet you in the wonderful and worthy name of Jesus Christ! May I remind you to pray for (and if all possible attend!) next Saturday’s (28th May 2011) day of joint worship and witness at Grays in Essex. These days, to be held quarterly, will replace the 5th Sunday joint worship services we have held the past several years. Here’s what the day will look like.

Early birds are asked to meet at the chapel at Salisbury Road, Grays RM17 6DG View Larger Map at 1:00pm. We will pray together and then distribute evangelistic leaflets to every home in the immediate vicinity of the chapel. The worship service will begin at 3:00pm. I would value your prayers as I prepare to preach an important message the Lord has laid on my heart. Also, let me remind you to bring along a generous offering for the work of church planting in our country.

Following the service we will enjoy tea together. Please bring along some food to share with everyone else. If you see me eat two saugage rolls it’s because I didn’t get one at our last joint gathering and because I like them. Following tea we will hear testimonies from all of the church plants in which we are (or have been) involved. It should be a great time.

Let me urge you to make attending this meeting a priority. Not only will you be encouraged but your presence and participation will be an encouragement to others. Also, since the meeting is on a Saturday we trust you will take the opportunity to invite someone who may normally worship in another church to come and enjoy the day with us.

I look forward to seeing you there.
